Scalextric Morris Mini Cooper S Broadspeed 77 1:32 Slot Race Car, Maroon
Category: scalextric slot cars 1 32 scale
The original Mini was launched to much fanfare and critical acclaim in August 1959. Branded as the Morris Mini Minor, this small, cheap, and dependable family car boasted a surprisingly roomy interior, with space enough for four adults and some luggage in the compact boot. As the design matured, the rally stage is where this car became a star, dominating the lower engine size classes of various Saloon series right up until the mid-1970s. Sir Alec Issigonis had truly designed a compact masterpiece.
Starting his lucrative racing career with Team Broadspeed in 1963, John Fitzpatrick found success on the track, helping him rise into the BSCC before becoming an infamous racer in the 1965 season. Although he did not place as high in his later years, there were many challenges he had to overcome to progress into a successful future.
