Scalextric Lotus 99T Camel #11 1987 Monaco Grand Prix Satoru Nakijima 1:32 Slot Car
Category: scalextric slot cars 1 32 scale
The iconic yellow Camel Livery and an older Honda engine of the Lotus 99T, considered the fastest car racing in a straight line in 1987, enabled Honda to work out a deal in which their test driver Satoru Nakajima would become teammates with Ayrton Senna on Team Lotus. Satoru Nakajima became the first full-time Japanese Formula One driver, and on May 3, 1987, at the Monaco Grand Prix, he became the first Japanese driver in Formula One to score championship points, finishing the race in sixth place and an overall 12th place for the season, sparking a consistent and successful career in Formula One.
Scalextric, the ultimate motor racing system for all ages, brings the thrill and excitement of motor racing to life in your living room. Miniature cars race against each other on a special track, getting their power from a slot in the middle of each lane (Scalextric is sometimes referred to as slot racing).
The 1987 Team Lotus 99T, in the iconic yellow Camel Livery, is a 1:32nd scale model car that is considered the fastest car racing in a straight line that year. This car is compatible with all 1:32nd scale Analog slot car race tracks, but it cannot be upgraded to Digital layouts as there is not enough room in the body to fit a digital chip.
Scalextric hits you right in the nostalgia, providing an immersive and engaging racing experience. The easy change braid with magnatraction ensures a smooth and realistic driving experience, further enhancing the thrill of motor racing in the comfort of your own home.
