Scalextric C7005 Digital Chip for Non DPR Open Wheel Cars

Scalextric Digital brings slot car racing to a whole new level! To upgrade your existing analog track, you can use Scalextric digital track pieces. This allows you to race up to six cars on two lanes, with the added features of a pit lane and lane-changing track pieces. To upgrade your existing analog slot car set, you will need a Scalextric Digital Powerbase C8435 with Digital Hand Controllers C8438, digital lane change pieces, and you will need to upgrade your cars with the Digital Plug Ready (DPR) Chip, C8515 for a standard car, C8516 for open wheel/single seaters, and C7005 for slot cars that are not DPR. The conversion requires hobbyist skills and some tools, including a soldering iron.

Buying a Scalextric Digital Set would allow you to upgrade your analog set the quickest, but all the parts can be purchased separately. You can choose to be compatible with older Scalextric Digital options or upgrade to the newest Scalextric Digital Powerbase options, such as the App Race Control (ARC) Pro.

ARC PRO comes with wireless controllers that contain a rumble pack, which alerts you to race features such as if your car needs to pit or the weather changes, plus a braking button for more control, and power level control. You can also modify the acceleration characteristics of your car from 5 preconfigured acceleration graphs, with the added ability to limit the maximum power to suit your racing style. The new Arcade race mode allows you to pick up powerups to influence your opponent's race, slowing them to a crawl among the other 7 other Race modes available. ARC PRO also allows you to race a ghost car.

Scalextric is the ultimate motor racing system for all ages, where miniature cars race against each other on special track, getting their power from a slot in the middle of each lane. The in-car microprocessor module allows the conversion of a standard Scalextric car to work on Scalextric Digital layouts. Most Scalextric cars, from 1957 to current date, can be converted to digital operation. For Digital Plug Ready Cars (DPR), use the C8515 Easy Fit Digital Plug or C8516 F1 Easy Fit Digital Plug.
