In 1974, Al Holbert made his debut into the Sports Car Club of America's premier endurance Trans-Am series in this Porsche 911 RSR, racing to the scene. Al Holbert, the son of Bob Holbert, another racecar driver who owned a Porsche dealership, went on to become a five-time champion with a passion for Porsches. This car helped launch his career into motorsport, although it was already in his blood, as he grew up around Porsches and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, going hand in hand with these powerfully sleek machines through different endurance races, eventually creating Holbert Racing, which would continue a glorious career around the track.
